Every metal cuts differently under a fiber laser — a different assist gas, a different practical thickness, a different edge. These pages document how our 3 kW fiber cell handles each material we run, with the thickness, tolerance, and edge quality you can actually hold. Mild steel

Mild Steel Laser Cutting

Fiber laser cutting of mild (low-carbon) steel up to 12 mm, with oxygen or nitrogen assist, ±0.05 mm tolerance, and an ISO 9013 range 2 edge.

Thickness by material

What we cut, and how thick.

Practical maximums on our 3 kW fiber cell. Thinner sections cut faster and hold a cleaner edge; every material starts at a 0.5 mm minimum.

Maximums are practical limits for a clean production cut on a 3 kW fiber source, not hard machine ceilings. Send your part and we will confirm the cut for your exact gauge and grade.
